The Scottsville Rotary Club is busy preparing for three important fundraisers. Fundraising is how we are able to support worthy, charitable projects in our schools, community, and beyond.
We are in the process of restoring a 1961 International Cub Cadet tractor. This model was the first year the Cub Cadet was produced. The pieces have all been located, sanded, and now at Caledonia Diesel being painted. By the end of this first week of March, the tractor will be restored and ready to show. Our club will be selling raffle tickets through the summer ending at the Alexander Gas & Steam show the first week in September. July 17th will be the Gordie Howe Memorial Golf Tournament to be held at the Wildwood Country Club in Rush. We’re looking for golfers. You can gather your own foursome or we’ll put you in with other that are signing up as individuals. For more information, contact Richard Nereau (346-7384 or 490-5789).
The Scottsville Summerfest will be August 20th. Nice to think about summer after the winter we’re experiencing. The Scottsville Rotary Club is taking over the organizational management of the Summerfest with assistance from the Village of Scottsville.
